Party Animals!
2021

Hosted online as part of Dublin City Libraries 'Inside Out' summer programme of creative events for young people, this series of workshops looks at animal architecture, explores the techniques they use to build their homes and uses this learning as a launch point for crafting activities.

The craft projects here take inspiration from the architectural history of the Bauhaus and it's costume parties, the product of these workshops is a set of costume pieces, inspired by animal homes, designed and made with common household materials.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say Thank you for the lovely art camp that you run for the past three days. My daughter enjoyed the workshops a lot and was looking forward to each of the three sessions.

Thanks again for a great mornings work. The workshop was again most interesting with the little anecdotes about the life cycle of the bee and its' habitat. The children really seemed to enjoy the activities also , the art work and they had very interesting ideas.

Just some feedback on the 3 day children's workshop that you just ran with Cabra library. My daughter attended and she really enjoyed it. I didn't hang around for long but I listened a bit and I was impressed by your interaction with the group. She loves making costumes and she's mad for animals and so your course was perfect. I was impressed by the encouragement you gave her and the interested questions you asked and these interactions are very helpful. I wanted to let you know that she really enjoyed it, and thanks.
